The Republic of Colombia

Colombia is the most populous nation of Spanish-speaking South America. It is often referred to as one of the most Roman Catholic of the South American countries. In addition to Spanish there are more than 180 indigenous languages and dialects. The country is bordered by Panama, which divides the two bodies of water, on the northwest, by Venezuela and Brazil on the east, and by Peru and Ecuador on the south.

We live in Monelibano, Cordoba, Colombia

Montelibano has around 80,000 people. It is considered a small town within Colombia context. It has a strong influence of the Colombian Caribe coastal culture. Very open and relational people.

There are different guerilla groups and cartel groups active in the region which is cause of much pain and oppresion for many. It is home to Cerro Matoso, which is one of the largest open-pit ferronickel mines in the world.

(Find the red dot close to Panama. That is Montelibano.)

To Know God & To Make Him Known

“The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.”                                                                                            1 John 1:2-3
